Partners

In Uganda, Italian Cooperation supports initiatives in human development, economic development, and environment and territorial management, in line with the five pillars of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: People, Prosperity, Planet, Peace, and Partnerships.

Within this framework, AICS Kampala collaborates with the institutions of partner countries and with a wide and diversified network of actors from the Italian cooperation system. Key institutional interlocutors in Uganda include the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Water and Environment, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, the Ministry for Karamoja Affairs, and the Ministry for Refugees, all of which play a central role in the planning and implementation of initiatives funded by Italian Cooperation.

AICS Kampala also works with numerous Italian CSOs active in Uganda, Burundi, and Rwanda, including Amref, Avsi, CBM Italia, Cesvi, Cooperazione e Sviluppo, Cuamm, Emergency, ICU, Insieme si può, and No One Out, thus expanding the impact of Italian cooperation for the benefit of the most vulnerable communities.

New opportunities for collaboration are also emerging with local authorities, foundations, and universities.
